At SafeHouse Farm Alpacas we understand the importance of good traits and of diversity of bloodlines and we are working hard to incorporate them into our herd. Through the use of outside breedings we can incorporate different traits into our herd. Those traits can include conformation, uniformity of fleece, a particular color and good CV's or SD. We might be looking to add more crimp and density to a particular female, or perhaps we would like to add brightness to the fleece color. By choosing the right herdsire that complements the dam we continue to improve our bloodlines.
