Many people are primarily interested in the investment aspect of alpaca ownership or do not have the facilities to house their animals. To accomodate this type of ownership, we offer agistment services in our state-of-the-art facilities. Agisting means to take an animal into your herd and treat it as your own.
Our facility has a large main barn offering numerous paddocks, good ventilation, concrete aisle way and an arena. Our fencing includes five foot "horse" fence around all pastures with chicken wire on the outside perimeter ground used to prevent predators that dig. For added protection there are two Great Pyrenees, Angel and Bear that are members of the herd.
SafeHouse Farm Alpacas has been boarding livestock for years and has someone on premises 24x7. We also pride ourselves in offering your alpacas daily, hands-on care, as well as monitoring and taking care of all regular maintenance of your animals, giving you peace of mind. Our vet who services four other alpaca farms in the area has extensive experience treating and examining alpacas.
Although we are more than willing to provide your animals with quality care, owners are always welcome to assist with the care of their animals or simply stop by to visit. If you wish to take part in your animal's maintenance, just let us know.
